Hello there! My name is Ethan and I am a developer based in Canada working on software tools to solve my own frustrations in the browser. I have been developing an extension every couple of months that solves many of my challenges not already met with an available solution. Here is a list of my most recent projects:
📌 Retrace Extension - A Better Web Clipping Tool
Retrace Extension is more than just a bookmark Manager. It offers the ability to save, store, organize, and manage specific pieces of online content including text, images, website pages, and YouTube videos. Each piece of content you save becomes a "Trace", which can be assigned to different groups, starred, archived, appended with additional notes, and searched easily within the Retrace dashboard. When a Trace is re-clicked in the dashboard, Retrace sends you directly back to the website or video and auto-scrolls to bring you precisely back to where you left off.
📷 OPTIC - Webcam Control and Optimization
A Chrome extension that allows users to control the hardware settings (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.) of their webcams directly from Chrome on Windows. This extension bridges the gap between browser-based applications and native webcam controls, offering a seamless experience for users who want to have precise control over their video inputs.
🗺️ Google Maps Explorer - Instant Visual Mapping In Just Two Clicks
A Chrome extension that allows users to open a Google Maps popup extension window to view location of an address or keyword highlighted on any webpage without needing to open up a new Google Maps tab.
🕒 Copy, Paste, Forget! – Automatic Clipboard Clearing
A lightweight security extension that automatically clears your clipboard on a user-defined timer after a paste event. Perfect for passwords, codes, and other confidential data that you'd like forgotten after it has been used.
